CANADEVI Valle (Real Estate developers association in Mexico City), facing congressmen accusations due to irregularities in the Benito Juárez District:
“Half of the buildings edified between 2000 and 2007 were irregular: exceeding permissions and skipping regulations without authorities response. Resulting 14,541 non authorized houses.” Local Congress integrated a research commission to valuate damages from this boom and to find responsible.
Strategy: Join the cause and hold the press
Key Statement: “Give us the black list of bad developers, to show them to the society and expulse them from our association”.
Results: the list was never showed by the commission. Press dropped the case in less than a week.
